P6 thoroughly enjoyed stepping back in time at the viking settlement. They took part in activities such as grinding grain on a rotary quern, kneading flour, eggs, milk and some honey to bake bread on a hotstone, storytelling using a hand stitched picture map of viking sagas, blacksmith weaponary skills and archery. Pupils took part in a live reinactment of a viking battle with the village vikings and won! We had a lovely picnic lunch overlooking the river Quoile and enjoyed the sunshine.
