Primary 6 enjoyed estimating the cost of building a house. They calculated overall cost after lots of group discussion and then went to Rossconor Park to have a chat with the builders about other costs to include. It was a great investigation to help pupils understand the mathematical terms such as budget, profit, expenses and estimation in real life situations and apply them in a realistic costing exercise.
