As part of their WAU topic on Space the pupils in P5 visited Armagh Planetarium.
They watched a trip with the Aliens around the solar system in the dome Theatre and experienced the Space rollercoaster too!
As a workshop in teams they built a Mars Rover from a bag, balloon and tape with and egg secured inside it within 10 minutes. These were then dropped from the balcony and the egg had to be intact. 2 groups didn’t see their egg crack!
In the exhibition area there was a talk about life as an astronaut and surviving in Space as well as the hands on Space room and space clothing to try on.
A really fun filled day for all.
