Grow your own in World War 2
14th May 2018
As part of Primary 4’s topic WWII we took a trip to Castleward. Here we experienced what life was like for an evacuee during the war.
We discovered that Castleward provided a lot of vegetables to the surrounding villages and due to this their gardeners were kept very busy.
We got to make our own seed pots using a paper potter and newspaper. We planted green beans in them.
