Holy Family Primary School, Downpatrick

Principal's welcome

Welcome to Holy Family Primary School Teconnaught, nestled in the heart of county Down. Established in 1966, Holy Family PS is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child and staff member feels respected, valued and supported. The school is built on a strong foundation of community, collaboration and positivity.

Our experienced staff prioritise pupil progress and take pride in delivering high quality teaching and learning aimed at helping every child reach their full potential. All successes are celebrated that are both academic and extra - curricular. This strategic vision is led by our dedicated Board of Governors and supported by the Friends of Holy Family PTA who work tirelessly to fundraise for pupil resources.

The values and aims of Holy Family PS are firmly rooted within our school Mission Statement, “In Our Hands We Hold The Future, In His Hands He Holds Us”. Our living faith is visible on a daily basis. We strive to enable all pupils to experience spiritual growth through their Catholic faith whilst ensuring their wellbeing is a key priority through pastoral support.

Holy Family PS offers a full wrap around service for pupils. We have Morning Club from 8am and provide an After School Club for pupils as well as many extra-curricular clubs for pupils throughout the school week.

We invite you to explore our website and hope this offers a glimpse into the enriching learning experiences we provide on a daily basis. Please get in touch with us if you would like to find out more about Holy Family PS by either telephoning the school or by emailing us at info@holyfamilyps.downpatrick.ni.sch.uk

We look forward to meeting you soon.

Warm regards,

Mrs Geraldine Sproule

Principal
